Meet Andrea
Hi! I’m Andrea Miteva (she/her).I’m a Macedonian-American photographer and visual artist based in Seattle, Washington.I primarily work with digital cameras, but I also use film photography, videography, graphic design, and sound production when a project calls for a different medium.
I started taking photos over 15 years ago. What began as curiosity slowly became a way of understanding myself and the people around me. I began by photographing those close to me, often set against the landscapes of the Pacific Northwest, using the camera to capture glimpses of nature’s magic and humanity.
Photography is deeply collaborative for me. I value working closely with others and creating images together that couldn’t exist alone. I often work with clients across major life milestones, building relationships that deepen over time and shape the way I photograph. At the heart of my work is creating space for people to feel seen, supported, and confident.
Over time, photography has become a mindfulness practice. I see it as an art form rooted in deep perception—of people, places, and moments as they unfold. When I’m making an image, time often feels suspended, and I’m fully present in what’s happening. When someone encounters my work, I hope they feel that same pause and presence.
I believe photography is a powerful force. Through my work, I aim to create space for inspiration, reflection, celebration, and recognition. If you’re interested in working together, I’d love to connect.
